Homestead Park is a very family oriented park, one I (Erica) grew up in. Since Rowan and I are very family oriented and not inclined towards formality we wanted to have a wedding where everyone can have fun and enjoy themselves. As such, the theme of our wedding is Summer Garden Party/ Fourth of July Picnic! We will be having a pig roast and picnic dinner after the ceremony. The Park has three large kid playgrounds, one of them being a water fort, and two additional toddler playgrounds, as well as basketball and volleyball courts, walking (and rollerblading) trails, fishing and Railroad Cars to explore. We encourage you to bring comfy clothes for you and your children if you would like to play after the ceremony :) Also, we will be eating on picnic tables, so feel free to bring folding chairs if you would prefer to relax in a seat with a back… and don’t forget the sunblock!
For those families with children we will be able to have two (possibly three) pack ‘n’ plays set up in a shady spot for any toddlers or babies who need to nap.
